On occasional Fridays during X-Block, the painting studio is opened to the entire community for painting and making art. With food, music, and a popcorn machine on hand, the mood is entirely festive as people prepare to slide into their weekends. For people of all artistic levels of skill and interest, TGIF OPS's mission is to promote art as a self-empowering tool for the creation of personal meaning and as a socially-empowering tool for bringing people together and fostering community.
